ShootCleaner is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page describes how we handle personal data in accordance with EU data protection law.

1. Data Controller

ShootCleaner acts as the data controller for personal data collected through our website and software. Our contact details:

2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to fulfill your license purchase and provide the Software.
  • Legitimate interest: anonymous analytics to improve our product, fraud prevention, and security monitoring.
  • Consent: marketing communications, where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: retention of transaction records as required by tax and accounting regulations.

3. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction: request that we limit the processing of your data.
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@shootcleaner.com. We will respond within 30 days.

4. Data Processing

We collect and process the minimum data necessary to operate our services:

  • Account data: name, email address, and license key — used to manage your account and deliver the Software.
  • Payment data: processed exclusively by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details.
  • Technical data: hashed machine identifiers for license validation. No IP addresses are stored long-term.
  • Image data: all image processing occurs locally on your device. We never upload, access, or store your photos.

5. International Data Transfers

Our primary database infrastructure is hosted within the European Union via Supabase. Where data is transferred to third-party processors outside the EU (such as Stripe for payments), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and adequacy decisions as recognized by the European Commission.

6. Data Protection Contact

For any questions or concerns about how we handle your data, or to file a complaint, please contact our data protection team at privacy@shootcleaner.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
