ShootCleaner ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the ShootCleaner desktop application and website (https://www.shootcleaner.com).

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to provide and improve our services:

• Account information: name, email address, and license key when you purchase or redeem a license.
• License validation: periodic checks to verify your license status, including a hashed machine identifier.
• Usage analytics: anonymous, aggregated data about feature usage to improve the product. No personal images or metadata are transmitted.
• Support requests: information you provide when contacting support.

3. Your Images and Files

ShootCleaner processes your images locally on your machine. Your photos, RAW files, metadata, presets, and exports are never uploaded to our servers. All AI processing runs on-device. We have no access to your image library.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account and license data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our database provider, hosted in the European Union. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: payment processing. Your payment details are handled directly by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure.
• Resend: transactional email delivery.

6. Cookies

Our website sets essential cookies required for functionality, including one that records whether you have accepted or declined advertising measurement. That one is set either way, because it is how we honour your choice.

If you accept, we set cookies from Meta (Facebook) so we can see which of our adverts lead to downloads and purchases, and from Google Analytics so we can see how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrive from. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by our property id. Nothing is set before you agree, and declining is one click with no loss of functionality. You can change your mind by clearing cookies for this site, which brings the choice back.

Where you have accepted, we also send those same events to Meta from our own servers rather than only from your browser. This is the Conversions API. It covers the same actions — a page viewed, an installer downloaded, an email given, a purchase completed — and exists because browser-based measurement misses a large share of them. Your email address, where you have given us one, is converted to an irreversible cryptographic hash before it is sent; we never send the address itself. If you decline, we send nothing at all.
