I’ve Shot 20,000 Sessions.
I Built The Workflow I Always Needed.

From film negatives hanging in a school darkroomto AI-powered culling and enhancement —

ShootCleaner is the end-to-end photographic workflow built by someone who’s lived every era of this craft.

The Founder Edge

I studied photography in 1989.

We had a full black and white darkroom at school.
Negatives drying on string by the open window.

First pro job in 1997.
High street studio in Brighton. Film only.

I shot weddings on Hasselblad transparency.
And waited days to find out if I got it right.

In 2003 I led digital transition for a luxury studio chain.
Windows XP couldn’t even handle the file sizes.
Digital workflows barely existed.

Since then:

  • 10,000+ families across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban
  • 10,000+ more in Vienna over 12 years
  • Hundreds of weddings
  • Boxes of negatives
  • Boxes of hard drives

And more subscriptions than I care to admit.

I’ve paid for tools that did half a job.
Paid monthly for features I barely used.
Paid for five apps just to complete one workflow.

If I’d invested that money instead, I could probably have bought another house.

None of them finished the job.

So I built the one that does.

The Real Problem

Photography changed.
The workflow didn’t.

You still:

  • Manually sort thousands of images
  • Bounce between apps
  • Apply presets blindly
  • Export messy files
  • Fix metadata later
  • Lose hours every shoot

Culling isn’t the problem.

Fragmentation is.

And endless subscriptions layered on top of it.

What ShootCleaner Actually Is

Not “AI culling.”

A complete workflow system.

ImportCullEnhanceStructureExportPublish

Built by a photographer who’s done it at scale.

Designed to replace the stack — not add to it.

Different From The Rest

Most tools copy your Lightroom preset.

ShootCleaner learns your style.

Most tools rank images.

ShootCleaner explains every decision.

Most tools stop at export.

ShootCleaner structures the outcome.

Most tools charge forever.

ShootCleaner can be owned.

You buy it.

You use it.

You keep it.

Optional update care — transparent.

Not compulsory rent.

Style-First AI

ShootCleaner analyses your portfolio.
Understands your lighting.
Understands your tone.
Understands your aesthetic.

Then it applies that understanding to:

  • Culling decisions
  • Enhancement recommendations
  • Preset generation
  • Metadata structure

It’s not guessing.

It’s learning you.

End-to-End Control

AI culling with rationale
Duplicate detection
Closed-eye detection
Style-aware enhancements
Professional presets
Retouch tools
Structured metadata embedding
Case study export
IPS (in beta)

One system.

Not five apps stitched together.

Not five subscriptions stacking up.

Time Saved Is Real

Wedding photographers spend 6–8 hours culling.

ShootCleaner reduces that to minutes.

Not because it’s flashy.

Because it understands context.

And because the workflow doesn’t break halfway through.

Who It’s For

  • Wedding photographers shooting 1,000–5,000 images per event
  • Portrait studios processing volume
  • Professionals who care about style consistency
  • Photographers who want control, not automation roulette

If you shoot once a month for fun, this isn’t for you.

If you shoot every weekend and value your time — and your money — it is.

Built By A Photographer. Not A Startup Team.

This wasn’t built in a co-working space.

It was built between real shoots.
Real deadlines.
Real hard drives full of RAW files.

It exists because I was tired of unfinished workflows.
And tired of paying forever for tools that never completed the sequence.

The Future

IPS tools are in beta.

Structured exports are live.

Metadata is clean.

The pipeline is unified.

Photography deserves infrastructure built by photographers.

Not rental software stitched together.

I’ve lived the film era.

I’ve lived the digital chaos.

I’ve lived the AI hype.

And I’ve paid for all of it.

This is the first system that finally closes the loop.

Buy it once.

Use it properly.

Own your workflow.
