Everything you need to manage your ShootCleaner license.

Finding Your License Key

  • Your license key was emailed to you immediately after purchase. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from ShootCleaner.
  • If you purchased through AppSumo, your key is available on the AppSumo redemption page and was also sent via email.
  • Lost your key? Contact support with your purchase email address and we'll resend it.

Activation Steps

  • Launch ShootCleaner and navigate to the activation screen (shown on first launch, or via Help > Activate License).
  • Paste your license key into the input field and click "Activate".
  • ShootCleaner contacts the license server to verify your key and register your machine.
  • Once confirmed, the app unlocks all features associated with your license tier.

Deactivation

  • Open ShootCleaner and go to Help > Manage License > Deactivate.
  • Confirm deactivation — your machine slot is immediately freed.
  • You can also deactivate remotely by contacting support if you no longer have access to the machine.

Transfer Between Machines

  • Deactivate ShootCleaner on your current machine first (Help > Manage License > Deactivate).
  • Install ShootCleaner on the new machine and activate with the same license key.
  • Your license tier determines the maximum number of simultaneous activations (1–5 depending on plan).
  • Need more activations? You can upgrade your tier from the pricing page.

Offline Grace Period

  • ShootCleaner includes a 14-day offline grace period after your last successful license check.
  • During this window, the app works fully without an internet connection.
  • After 14 days offline, you'll be prompted to reconnect to the internet for a quick re-validation.
  • Grace period status is shown in Help > License Info.
